Courtesy of Doug Bertel we have the audio of the sign-off announcement for Channel 3 from
http://www.tv-signoffs.com/1964_signoffs.htm.
According to the web page, it
was recorded in 1964 by Jeff Kadet, who died in 2014, in his hometown
of Needham, Massachusetts when he was a teenager.
Although the
announcer does not identify himself in the recording, TV-Signoffs.com
credits it to Ken Murphy.
HOWEVER, our alumni group seems to think it is Franz Laubert.
