   July 29, 1929: WTIC signed off from it's 500watt transmitter in the Grove St. Building in downtown Hartford.
July 30, 1929: WTIC signed on with a 50,000 watt transmitter in what is the current Avon Transmitter site.

The program was originally recorded on Edison cylinders and even after processing is still difficult to understand.

However the historical significance of the recording is is why it was posted and it is worth your while to listen.
