The FCC mandated that on June 12, 2009 all US Television stations cease analog broadcasting.
Just before 9:00 AM on that date, WFSB Channel 3 abruptly broke into its regular programming to offer an explanation of the change. They then replayed their original sign on from 1957. This was followed by alternating English and Spanish explanations of the change from the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) This has been scheduled to remain on the air for several weeks as a "nightlight" to let people know what has happened. |
